It amazes me how many things Apple says about PCs that simply isn’t true. How is this legal?

Since you give no examples, there must be none. I own both, and I much prefer the Apple. You should try one sometime.

i like the mac ads and i have no idea what your complaining about. you sound like that guy in the ad. what’s his name… oh yeah pc.

Personally, while I admit the ads are clever, I find the falsehoods they project so off-putting that they would drive me stright to a PC if i was trying to choose between the two.

I don’t know that they ever place outright lies on there, though, just misleading statements that could be applicable on a particular machine. I’m sure there are PCs out there that fail all the time, I’m sure that some Macs work perfectly.

Is it all, or even a larger percentage of PCs? Absolutely not, but the claims are carefully worded. I’m sure Apple’s lawyers (yes, despite their following among the granola crowd, they are just as infested with lawyers as any other company) have vetted every claim they make. I’m certain if they ever said “Don’t buy a PC, they all fail”, the PC makers would rightfully hammer them. So they don’t, they let it fall into the grey area of misleading.
