In most states, there is no legal age which has been established by statute as to when a child can be left alone. If you believe that a child is being put in danger by being left alone at home, you can contact Children’s Protective Services at the Family Independence Agency and make a referral. The agency will then investigate the matter.
NRS 432B.040 “Child” defined. “Child” means a person under the age of 18 years.
NRS 432B.140 Negligent treatment or maltreatment. Negligent treatment or maltreatment of a child occurs if a child has been abandoned, is without proper care, control and supervision or lacks the subsistence, education, shelter, medical care or other care necessary for the well-being of the child because of the faults or habits of the person responsible for his welfare or his neglect or refusal to provide them when able to do so.
Edit: Sorry the link I tried to send isnt working, here is a link for a forum with some info&
I tried but couldn’t find the actual law. You may want to contact the Nevada Department of Social Services. There most likely is no legal age limit for this, because there isn’t in most states. This is because it depends on a child’s maturity and the duration of time they are left alone. I won’t give you a suggestion, just think about the child’s maturity and how long they will be left alone. All I could find was these sights, one that says the age for Nevada kids to be left alone is unknown. Here it is :
Hope it helps, sorry I don’t believe there is an actual law. Just judge the situation as best you can or call the Social Services and ask.
Nevada — unlike some states — does not have a law stating a specific age under which a child may not be left alone.
“Family court uses what they call a common-sense rule,” says Dianne Kramer of the Clark County Parenting Project. “What they kind of frown upon is parents leaving a child 12 and under home alone for any length of time.”
Figure 30-60 minutes, after that they really start to question your abilities as a parent.
Well there is no legal age but 12+ is recommended
legally…8 years old. However, 12 seems to be the recommended age
